Top of the year success for,  Northern California’s Bay Area music group, ‘Board Of Directors.’

On New Years  Eve, the ambitious-Contemporary-cultivated union, released their first mixtape “Niggas With Aptitude.”   The intellectual gentlemen  revolutionized the 80-90′s group from Compton, Ca., “Niggas With Attitude.”  The name alone, is an reference of homage to the original hip-hop playas;  Ice Cube, Dr Dre, Dj Yella,Eazy E, and Arabian Prince. 

The B.O.D mix tape infiltrates  paradigm poetry pieces in the interludes alongside precisely crafted lyrics, over anterior beats.

Bellamysworld is  featuring their fun, festive, and sexy hit single “actress on a mattress.”

Dreams do come true. Thanks to the support of friends, family and fans the Board of Directors made our radio debut on March 11th, 2011 on 106.1 KMEL with our first single “Actress on a Mattress.” Our song was placed in a poll on KMEL’s Home Turf Radio’s webpage and we more than doubled our competition recording close to 500 votes in less than 72 hours of web promotions. So to all of our friends, family and fans that responded to our harassing text messages, facebook posts, and emails we say thank you. None of this would have been possible without you!

BOD will be releasing our first full album sometime in the near future; most likely this fall. Over 50 plus songs have been recorded and will be dwindled down to the best that we have to offer. The album will be featuring our debut single “Actress on a Mattress” which is currently in rotation on radio station 106.1 KMEL here in the Bay Area. The album will feature the entire Board Of Directors in multiple capacities as all hands were on deck for production with beats coming from L. Nealli, Bones, Poet, A.L.I, Al Bun Del and Dat boy Taeus. This album will truly be one for your collection.

The Board of Directors met in San Francisco to conduct some confidential, official business. We retreated from the boardroom for a little time away from work to take in the sights of Downtown SF. The tour started with SK Magnum busting flows on the corner as the other members of BOD backed him up. A stroll by the Federal Reserve building (we aim high) lifted our spirits for what we hope to be a prosperous year. Any trip to Downtown SF wouldn’t be complete without a walk down Market Street where we unexpectedly ran into a sign, which prophesied our future. We may not be wearing our suits daily, however, business is conducted daily and that is why, and how, we are here. We hope you enjoy our photo shoot; we sure had a good time making it.

Ask most young men if they love boobies and more than likely you would receive an emphatic “YES!!!!” With shirts, bracelets and stickers making such a bold proclamation the true message can sometimes be over looked.

“I Love Boobies” is actually a breast cancer awareness campaign sponsored by the Keep A Breast Foundation. The campaign’s goal is to educate young people about breast cancer prevention, detection and support by speaking to them in their own voice. While breast cancer is more commonly associated with women over 40, breast cancer is the leading cause of cancer deaths for women under 40.

Breast Cancer is a serious issue and the Board of Directors supports this cause 100 percent. Al Bun Del has lost two important women to the fight of Breast Cancer, one being a mentor, Trina Rigsby and the other his Grandmother, Etoy Bell who passed on his birthday. “The safest place I remember as a kid was being held in my grandmother’s bosom and every child should be so lucky to feel that security,” Al Bun Del said.

Depending on where the bracelets and t-shirts are purchased, between 50-100% of the proceeds raised from sales go toward Keep A Breast’s education and awareness programs including their traveling education booth, which was on the road for 251 days in 2010!!! Finally it’s here. After many years in the making, Lord Neallion is releasing his debut album. This 18 track album is a collage of various acts of life. After the success of his Ep released mid last year, this much anticpated album is getting well praise and fanfare. Suprisingly, Nealli’s want to make sure he started off the album right with the art work, kind of has taken off into its own creature. Request for Posters and shirts have helped boost the demand and awareness of his album. With all the success and positive out reach from the community this album is soon to be considered an instant classic. With The Board Of Directors Muzik group gaining more and more world wide acclaim and Nealli enjoying in all of there goals attained the future looks bright for this Vallejo native. Tha Art Of Slapp is the perfect appetizer turned meal, before B.O.D. releases there highly toted album scheduled to be released in late 2011.

After years of rapping solo, in collaboration on mixtapes, and many other projects these guys just couldn’t help it. Building off a mutual respect for each others talents and creativity, their forces have inevitably aligned forming Board Of Director’s Muzik. Initially a brain child of Al Bundel, Board Of Director’s Muzik was an opportunity that Al saw to bring together two things that made him happy; friends and music. Utilizing his knack for knowing people, Al saw the potential promise in bringing together many local artists to expand and create a large, fully functioning network. Unifying the musicians first, the next step in expanding the business plan would be in areas such as music, clothing, merchandise, beverages and more. Keeping true to the independent format that has been the signature for Bay Area music, these fellas have arrived.

Realistically, Al’s idea was not totally brand new. Several rap camps have been established throughout Hip-Hop history, from the likes of N.W.A., the Wu-Tang Clan and more currently Young Money. The commercial appeal and success of these camps lead to lucrative businesses expanding beyond Hip-Hop and propelling Hip-Hop to its current status in mainstream society. Al Bundel’s idea wasn’t the only plan to come from with the group. Lord Neallion had a vision of uniting every talented artist he knew to respectively contribute devotion and hustle into creating an international force of music and retail, thus expanding the business abroad.

To accomplish any mission one must begin with a plan. Al Bundel created an actual business plan while attending Solano Community College in the fall of 2005. Upon presenting this plan to his friends the ideas were accepted but complete agreement could not be reached. Disagreements on the groups name, the plan of attack and the functions of the business became too big of a hurdle for the group to overcome. Jobs and schools also spread the group thin dispersing them across the United States.

In turn, as years passed and business stalled, the rapping would not cease. These friends continued to work together recording, releasing, and performing music. SK Magnum spearheaded the Black Ice Clikk camp in Warrensburg, MO where he linked up with Huey P. Nuisance. Lord Neallion formed the group 808 Kingdom with Ozuruu and Bones while living in Concord, Ca and attending Diablo Valley College. After releasing multiple projects and receiving varied results the business plan was revisited. Attempting to increase the support and effort behind every release the Board of Director’s was formed. Working together building from the experience and knowledge each individual gained along the way, the group strengthened and began making noise in Northern California.

Currently the Board of Director’s are working on their first project slated to be released in the winter of 2010. From within the camp, Lord Neallion is up first releasing his highly anticipated album “Tha Art of Slapp” in August 2010, followed by Al Bundel and the release of his first solo mixtape “Blue Magic” on September 28, 2010. SK Magnum will be releasing his debut album “Creepshow” in early 2011 along with many mixtape joints for the remainder of the year.
